Nicholas Hamisevicz, 98, of New Britain, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. A lifelong resident, he was born to the late Nicholas and Eva Roman (Novick) Hamisevich. Nicholas worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 43 years, and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the Army Air Force during World War II. He and his late wife, Helen, together earned associate degrees in data processing technology from Waterbury State Technical College in 1975. A charismatic man who spread joy to all with his smile and enthusiasm, he loved music and dancing, especially polka dancing, and was an enthusiastic cheerleader at his grandchildren's sports and school events. He is survived by his children Nicholas and his wife, Anne Moran, Nancy and her husband, Michael Weisse and Mary Hamisevicz; his grandchildren: Nicholas Hamisevicz III and his wife, Virginia, Victor Hamisevicz, Gregory Hamisevicz, Matthew Weisse, and Leigh Weisse, and his great-grandson, Nicholas Hamisevicz IV. Nicholas was predeceased by his siblings: Anna Shaw, Mildred Tompkins, Jon Kulikowski, Nina Sasiela, Eugene, Irene Newman, and Eugenia Schierman.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. directly at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 305 Washington Street, New Britain, immediately followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest with military honors in the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church. The Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, is in care of arrangements.

My dear Mary, I remember sitting on the deck of your home in Whitefish with you and your Dad. We were drinking our usual and your Dad was having his evening cocktail. He was very cute and dear. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
