Obituary

Witold Stanislaw Kaczmarczyk, 57, of New Britain, died peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. Witek defied his illness and astonished his doctors with his unrelenting will to live. His sense of humor and positive attitude stayed strong even up until his final moments. Witek was the epitome of being the perfect host. His passion for cooking and baking ensured that no one ever left his home hungry. Another source of Witek's happiness was his garden. He was an expert grower of tomatoes and vegetables and always had a bountiful harvest. He generously shared his vegetables with the entire neighborhood, even the mailman! Before his departure, Witek reassured his family that he would build them a house with a garden in Heaven.
Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife, Krystyna (Samsel), his son, Lukasz; his daughter, Karolina; his mother, Stefania; his sister, Anna Trojanowska and her children Katarzyna and Emilia; his brother, Andrzej and wife, Celina and their children Magdalena, Dawid and Tomasz; his brother, Slawomir and daughter, Kamila; his sister, Teresa Amir Kiai Djoposhti and husband, Amir and their children Martin and Julian; his brother, Marek and wife, Ewa and their children Hubert and Oliwia; his extended family and close friends who spent countless hours at his bedside: Sebastian Sadowski, Grzegorz and Anna Stachelek, Wladyslaw Stachelek, Wioletta Skrodzka, Renata Kluska, Anna Kosciolek and Laura Moehringer. Witek was predeceased by his father, Boleslaw and three brothers, Krzysztof, Jan and Wieslaw. The Kaczmarczyk family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Bliss 10 ICU at Hartford Hospital for their care, support and endless determination in getting Witek stable enough to get home to see his garden. Their compassion and relentless effort will be remembered by the Kaczmarczyk family.
