Patrick Lucas, 24, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 16, 2010. A beloved son, brother and friend, Patrick had a contagious love of life and vibrant personality. His quick-witted humor and jovial demeanor brought energy to any situation. He was an avid video game player and toy collector. Patrick was known for his elaborate homemade Halloween costumes. He also enjoyed singing and was in several choirs throughout his life. Patrick worked at the Manchester Community College Library for seven years and was presently employed by Ticket Network of Vernon, CT. Patrick is survived by his devoted mother Kathleen Kinnen of Newington, the love of his life Lorene Flansbury, of Newington, with whom he made his home, his brother and best friend Jeremy Lucas of Bristol, his sister Robyn Lucas of Nevada, his aunt Janice Curlee of Houston, TX and many other close friends. We will celebrate his life on Thursday, 8:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Newington Memorial. Burial will be private.
