Russell R. Robinson, 89, of Newington died on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances Norris Robinson. Born in Hartford, he lived in Newington for over 60 years.
He retired from Pratt & Whitney Small Tool, West Hartford after 44 years of employment. Mr. Robinson spent summers at Pleasure Beach, Waterford, where he enjoyed saltwater and fresh water fishing and he was an avid photographer. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Masonic Sequin Lodge #140, Newington. Survivors include two sons David Russell Robinson of East Lyme, James Robinson and his wife Betsy of Kettering, Ohio, two daughters and sons-in-law Evelyn and Robert Osborne of West Greenwich, RI, Eileen and Richard Morange, of Acton, MA, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren his brother, Hillmer D. Robinson and his wife, Sylvia, of West Hartford. His funeral service will be held Saturday, 12:00 noon at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, with the Rev. Joseph Vujs officiating. Interment will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 at Newington Memorial.
